Steve Rattner served as administration over auto official for six months in 2009. The paperback version of the book, "fix: Insider accounts of the Obama administration's emergency rescue from the automotive industry," released earlier this month with a new epilogue.
"It's a story with a happy ending," Rattner said in an interview, noting her lunch sitting with GM and Chrysler's new CEO this summer as he renewed his account. "Good Progress has been made since the company was really quite remarkable."
He especially praised the turnaround engineered by Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne, who also runs the Fiat SpA.
